Administration: Settings
General Settings
Here is where you have to enter the basic information of your site.
- Site name: The name that appears at the web browser window and the sender of e-mail messages sent by WeBid.
- Site url: The complete url where your auction is. Remember to include prefix "http://", directory name if applicable and the ending "/". For example http://yourauction.com/path/to/WeBid/
- Administration e-mail: This is the E-mail address that all e-mail messages sent by WeBid will be sent from. This is the main administration user e-mail and the one that will receive all the e-mails and notifications.
- Your copyright message: A message which is displayed at the bottom of every page.
Batch Procedures Settings
This page deals with the cron script which is run to close ended auctions and delete old auctions and there related images.
- Run cron: This is how this script is run. Set it to Batch if you have set up a cronjob which will run the batch.php at set intervals or Non-Batch to just have it run everytime someone visits the home page.
For optimal settings its best to have Non-Batch set for small sites and Batch for those which much more traffic.

Pictures Upload
This page deals with the gallery settings
- Max. pictures size: This is the maximum size of a picture that a user can upload into their auctions gallery
Buy it now
This page deals with buy it now options for auctions
- Activate Buy Now?: Activate the option for users to create auctions with a buy it now option
- Activate Buy it now only auctions?: Activate the options for auctions to be buy it now only so if users want to buy an item they will have to a set price like in a shop. (The Buy it Now option must be enabled for this to take effect)
- Enable Buy it now only auto disable: This is for if you want buy it only option but you don't want most your auction site just turning into a shop, with this you can limit the percentage of items a user can list as buy it now only items
- Buy it now only limit: The percentage limit for the above option
Error Handling
These are options of what will displayed to a user when an error occurs with your site
- Error Text: The message that will be displayed to a user when an error has occoured
- Error E-mail Address: who they should report the error too
Countries Table
On this page you can edit, delete or add countries that users can sign up as being from.
- To edit a country name: Find the box with the country change it then press the "Process Changes" button at the very bottom of the page.
- To delete a country: Mark the check across from the country then press the "Process Changes" button at the very bottom of the page. Note: you can not delete a country that is in use.
- To add a country: Type the new country name in the empty "Add" text box at the bottom of the page then press the "Process Changes" button at the very bottom of the page.
