    A few people have said they can't find the forum rules so this is a LINK to the full forum rules

    It's already has been at the top of every single forum right above the post new thread button. It is now stickied as well.

    If you mean the home page then this is an introduction to the project with links to download and to get to the support forums.

    The forum rules are more appropriately placed inside the actual support community as they currently are.

    It is always a good idea when coming to a new support community or discussion board to read all of the announcements, stickied postings, forum descriptions and break downs, etc. before getting started with postings.

    Until notice location for the rules is established in the new Forum, here is a copy.

    Forum rules

    1. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Additionally, only one subject per thread and post a question only once.
      Users consistently posting to the wrong forum or not staying on a single subject will be given a warning (see policing below) followed by an infraction should they continue.
    2. Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.
    3. Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.
    4. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed.
    5. Members are asked only to post in English, as this is an English speaking community. With exception only to the International Support forum.
    6. Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.
    7. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive subject when posting a new topic. Examples of bad subjects include; "Help me!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got an error!", etc. Examples of good subjects include; "Getting an TABLE FULL error upon login", "Cannot restore a backup", etc.
    8. Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance and this includes SPAM via a PM. Users posting spam to the forums, In their Signature or to other members via a PM will be warned and their post removed. Accounts with the apparent sole purpose to spam the forums with be instantly permabanned without warning.
    9. The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.
      Additionally, moderator warnings are not required for these rules and if any are given they are provided as a courtesy.
    10. Users will not delete or significantly edit their established postings without good reason.
      Editing time is limited to 2 hours after the initial posting.
      If legitimate and significant edits need to be made to a posting you can PM one of the moderators with the proposed changed posting (full replacement) and at their discretion they may change it for you.
    11. The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging.
    12. Please keep in mind that you should exercise common sense with regards to your actions here as well as those directed towards other users. The written rules are brief purposefully as we rely on the discretion of normal adults to conduct themselves properly.
      However, and as previously noted, it is at the staff's total discretion as to what constitutes a violation and it should not be necessary to write down every possible violation.
      These violations may included those that warrant simple infractions as well as those that warrant banning from the forums as a whole.

    WeBid Product Support
    1. Support will not be offered for any pre-"Release Candidate" version of the software. This includes unstable versions obtained through SVN or GitHub as well as official Beta packages, The above mentioned are for the sole purpose of TESTING ONLY and should not be downloaded and used unless you are Testing and reporting back any bugs.
    2. Members are strongly encouraged to install the WeBid software themselves by following the instructions in the installation guide.
    3. Community based support is offered via IRC. We ask that you do not contact Team Members or other members of the community for support via PM/IM/email unless asked to do so. Likewise, it is not necessary to notify us of new replies to your topic; all members of the staff regularly monitor their respective forums for new posts.
    4. Please take note of any stickies and announcements (located above regular topics) as they often contain frequently asked questions and additional forum-specific guidelines.
    5. Before making a post please check the Commonly Asked Questions forum as this forum contains some of the most frequently asked questions and their solutions.
    6. Please use the Forum Search Facility before making any post, use as many search terms that describe your problem as you can think of. Many of your questions will have already been asked before and a solution found, using the forum search will find those posts.
    7. Bumping a topic (replying directly after your own post) is only permitted after Twenty Four hours have elapsed. Priority is generally assigned to topics in chronological order, so excessive bumping will result in longer wait times.
    8. Please remember that WeBid is Open Source Software, provided and supported by a team of volunteers. All members of the staff and community are assisting you during their spare time with only your gratitude as compensation. We ask that you consider this before posting.
    9. All users of the WeBid software are requested to retain the short message giving credit to WeBid (as it is displayed in the footer of a default installation). If this is not possible for a justifiable reason, we ask that at least "Powered by WeBid", with "WeBid" linked to "", remains. This message should be clearly visible in the footer of WeBid pages and not obstructed with javascript or styling. An equivalent message or image may be substituted, although the link should be preserved. Members who fail to consistently display a valid credit line will not receive support from this community.
    10. In addition no support will be provided for any site suspected of illegal activity, including copyright violation. See this thread regarding the removal of the Webid copyright that may result in no support as well.
    Support of MODs, Styles, etc. and linking offsite
    1. If the author of a Mod, theme, etc. maintains their own support board (or uses someone else's board) they may direct users to that board or site for the purpose of offering support and/or updates to their Mod/s. Alternatively authors may maintain a topic here at (in the appropriate forum) for each item they produce, directing users to that topic where appropriate. Such topics are intended for support only and not for general promotion of non-WeBid product, sites, and so forth.
    2. Members may include or post links to 3rd party sites in an effort to render support for WeBid in response to a support request (including requests for Mods). Members are not permitted to post links to material unrelated to WeBid or where linked material is not relevant to a given support request.
    3. General linking (within posts) to other sites is generally not permitted. Exceptions may be made where links are being offered in a "support context" for non-WeBid related questions. Acceptable support contexts may include (but are not limited to): problems with non-forum 3rd party software, hardware, and so forth.
    4. As per #2 & #3 members are not permitted to have non-Webid links in either their signatures or their "home page url". Having such links in either place may result in an immediate permanent banning or at best the issuance of an infraction and the requirement to remove them.

    Show Off
    1. Advertising your WeBid site is only accepted in the Showcase forum.

    Project Tools
    1. All posts made in the Project Tools must be a bug or feature suggestion for vanilla WeBid (The default package available here). Anything else will be instantly removed and user warned.
