    I installed the latest SVN release. I recreated the database, and removed all the old files and uploaded the new SVN release files so it was a fresh new install.

    I got the SVN release from here:

    Is there a way if a user is only in the 'Buyer' group, that the Payment Details could be hidden, they do not need to enter an Authorize.net or Paypal account info if they are not selling.
    My Control Panel -> My Account -> Edit your personal profile

    If you Scroll down to the bottom you'll see what I mean. This should really be for those who are in the selling group.

    Bug happens When allow custom start date set to "NO"

    Auction started: Dec 31, 1969 - 20:00
    Auction ends: Jan 01, 1970 - 20:00
    AUCTION SHOWS CLOSED TO PUBLIC

    but displays 1 live auction on the admin home page

    Does not seem to get a today's date start value when
    custom start date is set to NO.

    obviously, if one is going to buy.
    there should be a way of paying?
    is that not so?
    if one does not have a paypal or other account, how would they pay?
    they will bid on some thing but no way of paying right?
    is that not the way ebay and other sites do it?
    all the auctions i have been into...without your account or best yet , your confirmed credit card...you wont be able to buy any thing. so , what is the difference between this software and their?
    this is a good feature.

    I think you misunderstand me. I am not asking to remove this feature, as it is vital. But I just thought if you setup a bidder only account, it would be confusing for them to think they needed to setup a merchant account with Authorize.Net. Also, a buyer does not need to have Paypal to pay for an item, PayPal will also process credit cards. So I thought if it could be hidden from buyer only accounts, it may clear up any possible confusion.

    I hope this clears it up.

    I usually focus my testing attention on basic Auction functions
    like selling bidding etc and not payments

    But I agree payment methods are important for bidders as well,
    I do not know if those payment fields are mandatory or not, if
    they are, then that should be changed to optional.

    I must say that stupid signature of yours is insulting to this
    forum, you have one GUY here, doing the programing work of 10,
    and he has wiped out every bug I have found so far. drink your
    lemon aid its a free world, you do not need to tell us about it.

    Thank you for your reply. I did remove my signature as I certainly do not want to hurt or insult anyone. It was meant to be light hearted and to make people laugh, but I guess it didn't translate well in written form. I do realize there is only 1 programmer and his efforts are very much appreciated. I even donated what I could afford and will do so again when I can afford it again.

    UPDATE just Tested Revision 183

    Please follow this post exactly to test
    and confirm.

    Set up an Auction for 45.00 USD and log out

    Now log on with another user and bid
    you will see Minimum bid: 45.00
    just enter "45 exactly" and click

    You will be on the bid.php page, now click confirm
    you will get a Internal Server Error

    NOTE this will only happen on the first bid and
    it will register that bid when you go back and
    view it and everything will work normal from that
    point on

    I have all auction settings set to NO, but the custom
    start date which is set to yes for another reason I
    posted earlier.

    This Bug is real, and very easy to over look.

    here is the error log entry for that internal server error
    malformed header from script. Bad header=No recipient addresses found i: /var/chroot/home/content/html/webid/bid.php

    My test worked or you had got no error? either way

    I would not get to happy Now, that malformed header error is real,
    and did not happen for just nothing, its most likely a admin setting
    of yours that avoided it or you did not replicate my post correctly
    also keep in mind earlier in this tread you did not even know your
    version was counting registered users twice, and displying that on
    your Auction home page.

    for those who think this bug is a just me thing, you can bet your users
    will run into it, sooner or later when you can least afford it. thats
    Murphy's law.

    Tested Oct 4th, Revison 183
    This is the error log entry for that internal server error
    malformed header from script. Bad header=No recipient addresses found i: /var/chroot/home/content/html/webid/bid.php

    when you refresh the internal server error page you get Your bid is below the minimum bid

    I spoke with a couple php vets and they said this error is always program code related, not a server or browser problem.

    Still there in .187. The lines are:

    <td colspan="2" height="35"><div style="font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold;">Congratulations, Your now a member of {SITENAME}!</div></td>

    No biggie, obviously, but you might want to change that sometime when you have the time.

    I found the exact admin setting that causes the bug

    Admin panel /Preferences/Auction Settings/
    and set, Enable Proxy Bidding to NO

    NOTE the first bid only will cause an internal server error
    "the bid will count" and everything will be normal
    from that point on.

    also the birthday data from the registration form does
    not populate in the user management area.

    Graphic Interface/General Layout Settings
    Page Width, does not maintain a pixels setting in drop down

    Spam settings/Captcha type on registration page, when set to NONE
    Captcha type on send auction to friend page has no Captcha as well,
    even through that is set to image.

    2 email (text version) files, are still in html
    user_approved.inc.php
    usermail.inc.php

    Revision 187 tested

    To get birth date to work on registration try this...

    In register.php find: '" . ((empty($DATE)) ? $DATE : 0) . "',

    It is found in the insert statement.

    Change it to: '" . $system->cleanvars($date) . "',

    Save and try again. I didn't like using the word $date so I added $birthdate as seen below lol

    $birth_day = $_POST['TPL_day'];
    $birth_month = $_POST['TPL_month'];
    $birth_year = $_POST['TPL_year'];
    $birthdate = $birth_year . $birth_month . $birth_day;
    $DATE = $birth_year . $birth_month . $birth_day;

    ... and replaced the insert line above with: '" . $system->cleanvars($birthdate) . "',

    Hope that makes sense. I noticed setting the birth date worked just fine in the administration panel so I just copied that.

    What is this tread really meant for, if Bugs are to be posted elsewhere in
    the designated bug tread I just found?
