I have just started with my site using the default template. These first changes have been achieved today - now that I think I understand your code usage.

I sorted my first mod by changing the text navigation links to image icon links instead. next I have added my policies and about us info. I have just now added the beginning of my Link Partners list - which I added into the globalfooter.tpl ( I only mention this because I have not noticed any ones template with this type of usage!) I find this to be a great addition!

I will keep you up to date on my progress in case I happen to add something that nobody is using on their sites!
